Braised Pork Belly


Braised Pork Belly

Ingredients
700g pork belly, cut into piece
10 pips garlic, crushed
10 black mushrooms, soaked & halve
10 firm bean curds, 1 cut into 4 pieces & fried
6 boiled eggs
2 liters water

Marinade
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1/4 salt
1/2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp five spice powder
7 tbsp light soya sauce
1/2 tsp dark soya sauce

Seasoning
200ml light soya sauce
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt

Method :
1.) Mix pork belly with marinade and garlics, marinate for min. 2 hours or overnight.
2.) Heat up the sauce pot, pour in the marinate pork belly and stir until the gravy become thick.
3.) Pour in the water and seasoning.
4.) Add in the remaining ingredients.
5.) Use high heat to boil for half hour and bring the heat to medium.
6.) Continue simmer with medium heat for 2 hours.
7.) Dish up & serve.
